A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of speaking with Bob Deluce, President and CEO of Porter Airlines, on The CEO Series.
Bob is one of Canada’s most knowledgeable airline owners and operators. He grew up in an aviation family, with his father having served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Bob obtained his pilot license at the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, which now serves as Porter Airline’s home base.
We talked about the trends that will drive aviation in the next few years, the importance of strategic assets, the advantages of being a privately-held airline, and his advice for young people aspiring to work in the industry.
Listen to the interview below, and read an excerpted transcript in The Financial Post.
