CEO Launches Ethical Leadership Church

Dear Mindful Leader,

In the quiet moments of reflection, Divine guidance often comes from unexpected sources, urging us to take bold steps in service of our higher calling.

The inspiration to expand my volunteer efforts into a more structured form of spiritual community came from a remarkably synchronous moment in my professional journey.

I received a daily prompt to create a LinkedIn post outlining an expansion of my volunteer initiatives. The prompt (via email) came from Shanee Moret, whose mastermind group I had joined after being inspired by her profound commitment to Godly and ethical principles—principles that she not only espouses but embodies. And of course, Shanee is the undisputed Queen of LinkedIn marketing.

The email from Shanee felt less like coincidence and more like Divine intervention, as the prompt from Shanee arrived just two days after I had embraced the idea of expanding my volunteerism into a formal spiritual community.

The alignment of her prompt with my recent decision to establish a church centered on Ethics, and Unity for Godly Mindful Leaders, underscored the notion that my path was being Divinely shaped, affirming my commitment and energizing my plans with a sense of destined purpose.

A Little Background

Since June 16, 2023, I've been hosting a daily event on LinkedIn called "SunRise in the Presence of God For Growth Minded CEOs," affectionately referred to by some as "7 at 7." This initiative involves delivering 7-minute video sermons each morning at 7 AM (Eastern Standard Time), tailored to the brevity required by C-suite schedules. These sermons are designed to inspire and unite leaders through messages of faith, leadership, and ethics.

The concept for my latest volunteer project stemmed from these early morning sessions. I am currently laying the groundwork for an entity named "The Church of Unity."

I conceived the idea of establishing a new church aimed specifically at leaders who strive to integrate their faith with their leadership roles. This entity, to be known as The Church of Unity, will champion love, kindness, empathy, and celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity. Our core belief is that God manifests Himself through our collective humanity, offering us divine grace that transcends our diverse faith backgrounds.

At its core, The Church of Unity will reflect the belief that the God of Abraham—venerated in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam—connects us all through shared origins and Divine love.

The Church of Unity will soon actively be seeking members who embody ethical principles and uphold Godly virtues. We welcome those who worship the God of Abraham, recognizing that while there may be different factions within Christianity—and indeed differences in religious beliefs among other faiths that honor the God of Abraham—our focus will not be on theological debates but on unity and right action.

As such, members are encouraged to maintain their individual rituals and beliefs, yet unite under the common goal of doing what is right, as guided by the Micah 6:8, which states:

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

This approach ensures that our congregation not only advocates for but embodies the principles of love, kindness, and empathy towards all.

Funding The Church

As the CEO of a family-owned solar energy business, I've always believed in the power of ethical leadership and corporate responsibility. Today, I'm excited to announce that my family's company, White-Vogue Industires, Inc, operating under the DBA Project SunRize, will commit an additional 2% of all profits from commercial solar projects to support the development of The Church of Unity. This is in addition to the 3% of profits we currently pledged to donate to the Council For Unity, an organization dedicated to ending violence in schools and prisons since 1976.

Our commitment to these causes is a testament to our belief that businesses can—and should—play a crucial role in fostering societal improvement. By integrating our business endeavors with our spiritual and ethical values, we create a powerful synergy that not only propels our company forward but also contributes to the broader social good.

501(c) (3)

In addition to our ongoing efforts, The Church of Unity is preparing to file for 501(c)(3) status, which will further legitimize our operations and enable our members to make tax-deductible contributions in the future. This step is crucial in ensuring that those who wish to support our cause can do so in a manner that is both impactful and recognized by law.

As we build The Church of Unity on the principles of justice and mercy, as outlined in Micah 6:8, we invite you to become part of our founding community. If you are interested in joining us in these early stages, either as a member or a donor (donations not currently tax-deductible), please direct message me personally. Your involvement now, before we obtain our 501(c)(3) status, could help shape the foundation of a church dedicated to upholding and spreading ethical leadership and corporate responsibility through the unity of faith and action.

A Delicate Balance

Managing this balance between my professional responsibilities and my volunteering efforts requires careful planning and commitment. It involves setting clear boundaries and priorities, ensuring that each aspect of my life enhances the other. Volunteering, in this sense, is not just an addition to my life but a vital component of my personal and professional development.

Moving Forward

As a legally ordained minister in the State of New Hampshire, I am thrilled to bring my spiritual leadership to the foundation of The Church of Unity.

This official status not only reinforces my commitment to fostering a community rooted in ethical and spiritual principles but also empowers me to officiate and lead religious ceremonies that align with our mission. Additionally, I can officiate weddings, which would be a profound pleasure, and take confessions, ensuring the confidentiality of the minister-congregant communication as privileged. This role allows me to further bond with our community members through these sacred rites, enhancing our shared journey towards spiritual unity and ethical leadership.

As I move forward with The Church of Unity, I invite you, my LinkedIn family, to join us in this journey. We are seeking passionate individuals who are ready to lead and inspire others, to serve on our board, and to help us spread our message of unity and ethical leadership.

This is a call to action for those who are driven by a commitment to do what is right, as we pave the way toward a global community that embraces diverse faiths and practices yet stands united in its quest for justice and love.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to shape this exciting new chapter.

And remember, the serendipitous timing of Shanee’s prompt is a reminder that sometimes, the Divine indeed moves in mysterious ways, aligning our paths with our purposes in moments of clarity and inspiration.

May this message serve as a blessing and an invitation to join us in creating a world where leadership is grounded in ethical values and spiritual unity.

Warmly,

David
