CEO Corner: The Value of Inclusion

CEO Corner: The Value of Inclusion

By Shannon Kavanaugh, Archbright CEO

One of our biggest initiatives at Archbright right now is our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program. As a leader, this is some of the most important yet DIFFICULT work I have ever leaned into. Specifically, I want to highlight the work and challenges around inclusion.

When inclusion flourishes, it permeates the whole work environment. It has a positive impact on people’s desire to work for an organization and how productive they are, the quality of decision-making, customer relations, innovation, revenues, and reputation. Advancing inclusion is essential for organizations to accomplish their goals. Many of us know the value of inclusion, yet we frequently struggle to achieve it.

New thinking is needed to address the gap between the promise and practice of inclusion.

For all CEOs and business leaders tackling this same important work, I invite you to join me for an Executive Briefing we are sponsoring with the Institute for Sustainable Diversity & Inclusion this coming April.

Executive Briefing: Indivisible--radically rethinking inclusion for sustainable business results for leaders

Speaker: Rebekah Steele of Diversity & Inclusion Breakthroughs

When: April 1, 9-11 am

Where: Archbright (5601 6th Avenue South, Seattle)

In this briefing, you will gain insight into what impact is possible for you and your organization if you abandon piecemeal approaches and adopt a bold, ambitious, and comprehensive inclusion strategy. You will learn:

  • What inclusion really is
  • Why inclusion matters
  • What strategies and actions to take for maximum effect
  • How to evaluate impact
  • The value of a coherent inclusion framework for achieving visible business outcomes
  • Opportunities in expanding outward to a greater whole for sustainable business and society

Inclusion is about harnessing our collective superpower. If you are excited by that, this briefing is for you. RSVP by emailing [email protected]. Space is limited.
