HIGHLIGHT: This week’s highlight was, without question, my visit to our decarbonisation specialists in the South West. We are currently working on a £1.5m deep retrofit project in Torbay for Sanctuary Housing due to be complete in July 23. The ERDF funded Energiesprong refurbishment includes?External Wall Insulation, roof covering replacement, structural repairs, electrical upgrade, replacement windows and doors, under floor and loft insulation, Solar PV and battery storage, ground source heat pumps and MVHR.??

Our team have been responsible for designing and developing the design solution, working with specialist partners to achieve the required outcome.?One of the key challenges was undertaking the extensive works whilst residents remained insitu.?Our design and delivery solution focused on minimising internal disruption to resident by developing energy pods to house M&E equipment. This reduces the?impact to the resident during installation and maximises internal space within each property.??
Our site meeting this week included Joanne Stringer, Ian Howse, Mike Shields, Rick Pepper, Lisa Hogg, Katie Poole, from Sanctuary Housing, Justine Prain from Energiesprong,?Chris Bates from Kendal King Scott, as well as AJ Eaton, Ian Chambers, Michael Quainoo, Bryn Posey and Bill Coffin from Bell.
Michael, Bryn and Bill have done an incredible job and are a real credit to our business. Bryn hosted our visitors and, with his knowledge of what his team are delivering as well as his enthusiasm for what we are trying to achieve for the residents, and as part of the wider decarbonisation of the UK housing stock, everyone was thoroughly impressed with the achievements on site. I couldn’t have been prouder!?
