Central Criminal Court

Central Criminal Court

Hello.

Hearing today at Court of Protection in High Holborn at 11:00 a.m.

So, for the next few weeks, there will be increments of both escorted leave and unescorted leave. ?

In about 6 weeks, my long awaited 9 hours returns for a third time!?

Hopefully by then, I will have finished my counselling with C.G.L. Newham which started yesterday. ??

I will have found a second voluntary clerical position. ?

And seen in addition to my mother, other friends and relatives. ?

??

The only problem is - I consume small quantities of alcohol - the item rescind back to Stage 1 which is about 4 hours escorted leave only with staff. ?

This has always bene the case with my court order. ?

Even I admit, when i returned home late and very inebriated or went missing!?

But for even small quantities of alcohol - a few cans!!!

Both my solicitor and barrister were very supportive.?

However, in the next 3 weeks I will have to wait for an assessment form my G.P. ?

It will then take another 3 weeks (so 6 weeks in total) for a final decision from my Social Worker.

If my G.P. approves amounts of alcohol within the legal guidelines - then this should not be too much of a problem - the Social Worker will have to agree. ?

However, if my G.P. says no alcohol at all, the Social Worker approves likewise. ?

Bearing in mind the G.P. ?is making purely a medical assessment. ?This is also not just based on previous occasions of abusing alcohol, but my long term medical ?condition.

I had a serious head injury back in 2016 and was admitted to hospital for 10 weeks. ?

Since then my Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard (D.O.L.S.) has continued (now in its 9th year!) ?

But with the longer terms problems with my skull or brain - will this be indeifinite e.g. the next 5 or even 10 years! ?

To the point where I have to totally abstain from any alcohol - not even consuming any in moderation. ?

And to even contest the G.P.s decison - I will liaise with my solicitor to see which medical superior I could appeal to! ?

I will keep you informed.?
