Centra Cares Home Renovation for a Family in Delta

A couple of months ago we announced that the Trottier family of Delta were the winners of our 2024 Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest, meaning they would receive an entire house worth of high-performance, energy-efficient Centra Windows – completely free! The family had faced a lot of hardship over the past few years, and they were in dire need of new windows and doors. Our fantastic Employee Owners were more than happy to help.

The big day has been and gone, and 24 members of our team donated their time to install these new custom-made products. Despite the pouring rain, they got the job done and transformed the home in just six hours. We’re eternally grateful to our Employee Owners for their passion and generous spirit – and Tanya Trottier and her daughters are over the moon with their new windows and exterior doors!

How Will these Windows and Doors Help?

The Trottier home had a mixture of older windows, creating a patchwork of wood, aluminum, and vinyl frames. These windows had many issues, causing drafts and mildew, raising their energy bills, and impacting the family’s overall comfort. The Trottiers also live under a flight path and near a port, making noise a major issue. In addition, there was an old patio door which had been installed incorrectly and would lock out the family when they tried to enjoy their yard.

Out with the old, in with the new! Centra has worked our magic, and the entirety of the home now benefits from modern, high-performance windows that promise to considerably improve the family’s quality of life. No longer will Tanya have to wear hats to bed due to the cold, and no longer will they be awoken at 3 AM by noise from the nearby port. Centra’s new windows boost comfort and peace thanks to superior thermal performance and sound reduction qualities.

Looking Ahead

The Centra Cares Home Renovation Contest is an annual event, and it will be returning in 2025.
