Centech and BXVentures join forces??

As you may have heard earlier this month, we were very proud to announce our new partnership with Centech Mtl (#Canada??)! BXVentures recently expanded into Canada as the first venture builder dedicated to cleantech.

In case you missed it, here is the main objective of this collaboration.

What is the main objective ?

The main objective of this partnership is to establish a long-term collaboration, enabling the emergence of a leading #cleantech #technology creation hub. As part of its activities in incubating deeptech companies, Centech is confronted with the environmental transition and intents to explore new and more sustainable business models. BXVentures, with its two complementary activities, the #venture #builder and the consulting, is able to match the deployment of promising cleantech (a technological “push” via the venture builder) with the tangible challenges facing companies (a technological “pull” via the consulting arm).

According to Richard Chénier , CEO of Centech Mtl :

“Climate change is everyone’s business. We need creative and rapid ways to accelerate the adoption of clean technology innovations. The venture builder model is not very present in Quebec and Canada. It is an effective way to transfer technology, mainly from public research, while creating exporting companies already connected to market needs. It is one more string to our bow to build new impact companies for a better society. We are pleased to be associated with it”.
