CENDLOS Eulogizes Mr Abdourahamane Diallo

Today, we come together to pay tribute to the extraordinary journey of Sir Abdourahamane Diallo , a visionary leader whose influence has been pivotal in molding educational technology landscape in Ghana. As he concludes his tenure in Ghana and prepares to embark on a new chapter in Nigeria, we find ourselves reflecting on the profound impact he has had on our collective endeavors.

Throughout his time as the Country Director of UNESCO, Mr. Diallo has embodied unwavering dedication and forward-thinking leadership. The footprint he leaves on educational technology in Ghana is immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to chart the course of this nation's Edtech future. With his unwavering support and visionary guidance, he has propelled us to unprecedented heights, paving the way for a future where technology and education can come together seamlessly.

From our initial meeting at the UNESCO office in Dzorwulu, I vividly recall Mr. Diallo's invaluable guidance. As the Executive Director of CENDLOS , his steadfast support and insightful advice were instrumental in steering us toward a path of progress and innovation.

Throughout this journey, Mr. Diallo's influence has been transformative. With his backing, we embarked on groundbreaking projects, pushing the boundaries of EdTech. His fervent advocacy for the development of ICT policy for EdTech in Ghana, the pioneering KFIT initiative, TEOSS, and the groundbreaking National Digital and Distance Learning Conference, which has redefined the edtech landscape, positioning us at the vanguard of innovation.

Mr. Diallo's favorite term, 'catalytic', perfectly encapsulates his approach. He compelled us to be the catalytic force, propelling EdTech forward in Ghana. His zeal for digital and electronic learning has become the driving force behind our every endeavor.

His gallant support has been nothing short of instrumental in propelling the phenomenon of distance learning to the forefront. This innovative approach to education has proven to be a game-changer, especially in the context of our pursuit to firmly establish EdTech as the cornerstone of learning in Ghana. In the midst of this 4th Industrial Revolution, where technology's role in education is more critical than ever, Mr. Diallo's steadfast backing has been a driving force.

Furthermore, in the wake of the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning emerges as a practical and resilient option. It offers a robust solution to ensure that education remains accessible, adaptable, and of high quality, even in the face of disruptions.

This transformative shift not only signifies progress but also exemplifies the adaptability and forward-thinking approach that Mr. Diallo has consistently supported CENDLOS to champion.

As Mr. Diallo transitions to Nigeria, we bid adieu to a leader whose legacy will forever be intertwined with our collective journey. UNESCO's strategic alliance with CENDLOS will persist as a beacon of hope and progress for the future of EdTech, not just in Ghana, but across borders.

Thank you, Mr. Diallo, for your unwavering dedication, your indomitable spirit, and the profound impact you've had on us all. Your legacy will continue to inspire CENDLOS to aspire for more as far EdTech is concern.

Thank you. Yedaase. Merci beaucoup.
