Cena Won’t Tie Flair’s Record

Admittedly, I’ve loathed John Cena before it was trendy.

I didn’t buy his rap CDs or giggle at his mic drops, and I’ve never pumped up my kicks. He came across as a cocky wigger, and I prefer to root for pro wrestlers who flaunt who they are rather than try to be someone they’re not. I cheer for athletes like JBL, a stock market-savvy, aristocratic cowboy. Guys like Mick Foley, a creative genius and hardcore legend who believes his influence can make changes in the bureaucratic machine of WWE. And I absolutely adore a man, well, The Man, who lives his on-screen persona to the fullest that real life allows (for better or worse.) Yes, I’m a Ric Flair disciple so my argument is clearly biased, but don’t let that blind you from its logic.
