Standards applied to the digital and green transitions of the construction industry - A tall hobbit
This november, the European Committee for Standardization has published the document CWA 17819:2021 Guidelines for the assessment of resilience of transport infrastructure to potentially disruptive events.
This Workshop started in January, with experts from industry, research and public administrations.
The first draft was based on the results of the #H2020 project FORESEE (Future proofing strategies FOr RESilient transport networks against Extreme Events), coordinated by Tecnalia. The standardisation strategy was coordinated by the European Union Road Federation (ERF) and the Spanish Standardisation Body (UNE).
As Secretariat of this Workshop, on behalf of UNE, I want to thank the contribution of all experts, especially the convenor, Bryan Adey (ETH Zürich), and Claudio Martani (ETH Zürich) and José Diéz (ERF).
The document is available for free download:
The standardisation system is an efficient vehicle for disseminating the results of research and to ensure peer review.
