Rapid Progress for Hengsheng’s Grenada National Resort
ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada - Hengsheng Group has undertaken swift development of their flagship Grenada National Resort project just months after securing land permits from the government on June 15th, 2023.
The Singapore-based real estate developer has shipped 106 containers of machinery, equipment, and construction materials to Grenada’s port. Their team has now nearly completed assembly of key infrastructure to enable vertical building.
“We have the heavy lifting gear, cement silos, batching plant, and other critical facilities in place to begin core construction,” remarked Hengsheng’s project manager David Wang. “Our crews are hard at work preparing the sites.”
The sprawling Grenada National Resort will feature an 18-hole championship golf course designed by golf legend Robert Trent Jones II along with a range of luxury villas, hotels, and private residences with accompanying dining and recreation amenities.
The unique undertaking allows foreign investors to contribute $220,000 in exchange for Grenadian citizenship under the country’s Citizenship by Investment Act. Hengsheng is an authorized representative of the project.
“With permits secured and equipment mobilized, we eagerly anticipate welcoming our citizen investors,” said Mr. Galli. “Vertical construction will proceed over the coming year as we strive to complete Phase 1 by late 2024.”
The Grenada National Resort represents the largest-ever foreign real estate investment on the tropical Caribbean island. Local authorities have lauded plans for the development as a key pillar to enhance tourism and attract foreign capital and expertise.
