Cement Crusher Machine Buying Guide

A cement crusher machine is a machine that breaks down blocks of cement or other similar types of building material to produce grains of a preset size. There are several different types of crushers, and they can be categorized based on the mechanical crushing action and the size of particles they produce.

Choosing a Cement Crusher

There are three main types of crusher. They are jaw crushers, impact crushers and cone crushers. Let's consider each of these in turn.

Jaw Crushers

If you're shopping for a cement crushing machine, you'll most likely find yourself looking at jaw crushers. These machines have a movable jaw that has a stationary plate on one side. The jaw is very powerful and can create a significant compressive force, breaking the concrete into smaller (but not fine) chunks. These machines are affordable to buy and operate, but depending on your use case you may need additional machines to produce the size of grain you require.

Impact Crushers

Impact crushers themselves come in two varieties:

- Horizontal shaft impactors

- Vertical shaft impactors

Horizontal shaft impactors are less powerful and are typically used to crush softer sedimentary rocks, rather than for breaking down cement or concrete. Vertical shaft impactors use a different mechanism to break down the rock. Instead of 'crushing' it, the system uses a rotor that will throw the rock against a hard crushing chamber, causing the rock to splinter. The size of the particles produced by a VSI crusher can be manipulated by changing the rotor's speed. VSI machines work very well for brittle materials.

Cone Crushers

Cone crushers are good for producing very fine grain, but they can't be used to process rebar-reinforced concrete so they're less commonly found on demolition sites. They're good for crushing cement, however.?These cone crushers for sale in AIMIX have a cone that points upwards. The cone gyrates against the crushing service and the material fed into the machine is crushed into smaller and smaller parts as it travels down the cone. The end result can be anything from backfill material to a very fine sand depending on the settings of the machine.

Cone crushers require the material to be broken down into small chunks for feeding so you may need a jaw crusher to pre-process your concrete ready for use with this machine.

Which Concrete Crusher Should You Choose?

The type of concrete crusher you should use depends on the output material you need. If you're working in demolitions, a jaw crusher will likely suffice for making the materials you're working with a manageable size. These machines are affordable, reliable and reasonably versatile.? However, if you need finer output, one of the other two types of machine might be better suited for your application. They're particularly applicable for foundation digging or materials processing. If you're using a cone crusher you may need a jaw crusher to prepare the concrete to be fed into the machine. Consider the power and output rate of both machines to ensure you'll be able to operate them at full capacity.
