CEMA Lighting Collaborates with Hull City Council to Boost Energy Efficiency via Lighting Upgrades

CEMA Lighting has partnered with Hull City Council and NPS Humber since 2016 to introduce custom lighting solutions throughout the city. Initially, the company provided an outdoor lighting system for the Ennerdale Cycle Circuit. Impressed with the results, Hull City Council and NPS Humber entrusted CEMA Lighting with implementing energy-efficient lighting systems for the sports hall and swimming pool at the Ennerdale Leisure Centre, as well as Walton Street car park, Stockholm Depot, and Hull Ice Arena.

Lighting Solution for Cycle Track

CEMA Lighting installed 1km of street lighting for the cycle track in Kingston-Upon-Hull at the Ennerdale Leisure Centre, using the 70W high-output LED Street Light. The company customised the installation according to the consultation stage, sourcing specially curved pole-mounts to position the luminaire directly above the cycle track. This ensured even illumination across the entire width of the track.

Swimming Pool and Sports Hall

Following the success of the cycle track lighting solution, CEMA Lighting was tasked with illuminating the Ennerdale Leisure Centre's swimming pool and sports hall using a bespoke LED lighting system. The sports hall's high ceiling was perfect for the highly efficient LED HighBays, while the swimming pool area is now well-lit by LED High Panels and LED bulkheads. The rejuvenated facility, built in the 1980s, is now more energy-efficient and the cost savings can be channelled towards further investments in the leisure centre to benefit the local community.
