Celebration time!

Celebration time!

September has always been a meaningful month for me, but this year, it’s extra special. Not only is it my birthday month ??, but it is almost time to celebrate?the first anniversary of my business. I never thought I’d be celebrating this milestone so early in my life, but here we are, and I’m excited to share this celebration with YOU! You know what I love about getting older? It’s caring less about what others might think and focusing more on what matters to me. This month, I’m all about embracing that freedom, my uniqueness and being bold.?

As we step into autumn, it’s the perfect time to reflect, prune, and make space for growth.

Quote of the month

"I am a big fan of friendship pruning, so if I have friends in my life and I come to realise I don't get out of them what I want and maybe vice versa, I tend to freeze them out." - Jo Carnegie?

Wow! I know! But just like we prune plants in autumn, sometimes we need to do a little pruning in our lives. Whether it's friendships, habits, or commitments that no longer align with who we are or what we need, this season is the perfect time for reflection and renewal.

??Natalia's Natter:

My birthday didn’t go quite as planned. I ended up with a cold and laryngitis from a mix of working too hard and partying too much. ?? You know how much I love to talk, so being unable to speak was and still is?a real struggle! But even in my not-so-great moments, I learned a valuable lesson.

I attended a farewell concert for a band I love, Aventura, knowing full well it could make me worse. I asked myself, “Am I willing to face the consequences?” and, despite the risk, I decided to go. The result? Yep, I got sicker.....but would I do it again? Absolutely! ??

The takeaway? When you’re faced with a tough decision, ask yourself if you’re truly willing to pay the consequences. If the answer is yes, embrace the outcome fully and with no regrets!

Thought of the Month:

As we enter the busiest quarter of the year, it’s important to stay grounded and take care of ourselves. How are you planning to manage all the demands coming your way? One of the best ways to build resilience is by ensuring you’re prioritizing self-care.

Let me introduce you to the Water Tank Exercise, a simple but powerful way to stay mindful of your energy levels. Here’s how it works:

  • The Water Tank Metaphor: Think of water as your energy level at any given moment.
  • Draw Your Tank: On a blank page, draw a tank and fill it with water to represent your current energy level. Date the drawing.
  • Identify Your Fillers and Drainers: On the same page, split it into two columns labeled "Fill up" and "Drain." Write down what boosts your energy and what drains it.

I’m introducing this check-in within the Empower & Lead Collective, and I encourage you to do it with your team. Let’s keep asking each other, “How full is your tank?” so we can all support one another in staying energized and thriving.

Why not take five minutes today to sketch your own water tank? See how full your energy is and start taking control of your well-being right away.

As we move into this new season, I invite you to reflect, reset, and focus on what truly energises and inspires you. Let’s finish 2024 strong and, most importantly, let’s celebrate every step of the journey together. ??

Keep shining,

Nx

If nature recommends pruning for trees, plants...why not for all the rest? I never thought about it, but agree I should start practicing it wisely. This will allow more space to nurture the "true" friendships. ??
