Celebration event for Leo Ruschena

This is a message to let those who do not already know, of a celebration of Leo Ruschena's career, and his many years of contribution to the Austrlian OHS landscape. Amongst the very many things that he has done throughout a great career, he has been a wise head on the Australian OHS Education Accreditation Board, contributing to building the quality and consistency of higher education in health and safety.

Leo is retiring from full-time employment, and RMIT is holding an event tomorrow (20 October) from 5-7pm at the RMIT city Campus  Building 10, Level 7, Rooftop Terrace in Melbourne to honour his contribution.

If you'd like to go along, RSVP by e-mailing Susanne Tepe: [email protected] .

Susanne has asked that you come armed with a one-liner about your most memorable moment with Leo, and that you share this invitation with anyone who may be interested.

From Susan: Access to Building 10, Level 7 Rooftop Terrace: It is a new space and can be accessed in two ways:

  • Enter the RMIT campus from Swanston St. There are two new entrances to Bldg 10, 12, 14 from Swanston St. Go to the lifts. Go to Level 7 in Bldg 10. The rooftop terrace is straight ahead of the lifts in Bldg 10 (passed a little coffee station)
  • Conversely, enter the RMIT City Campus from the new entrance on Swanston St nearest to LaTrobe St; this enters Bldg 8. Continue up the stairs / escalators until you get to level 7. While this requires a bit of moving around to get to the escalator, it is a lovely scenic tour of the new library and NAS changes to Buildings 8 and 10. Exit at level 7. The roof top terrace is on level 7 of Bldg 10, toward Bowen St.
