One crucial aspect of this empowerment is the support men can provide to women in the workplace creating a more equitable for women in South Africa.
Women's Month in South Africa honours the courage and determination of the 20,000 women who marched to the Union Buildings on August 9, 1956, to protest against the pass laws during the apartheid era. This historical event is a reminder of the ongoing struggle for gender equality and the need to address contemporary issues facing women. It is a time to celebrate achievements, recognise persistent gender disparities, and advocate for policies and practices that promote women's rights and opportunities.
