Celebrating Youth: the Architects of Sustainable Tomorrow

Youth- the leaders of tomorrow are the building blocks of new India. They play a pivotal role in shaping the future of economies. Known as the future stewards, the youth will be driving global economies with their intellect, innovation and ideas. Our youth are economic disruptors bringing revolutionary changes to the way they think and live. In the era of globalization, leaders have to take due cognizance of equitable and inclusive growth across all spheres of life. This year we celebrated International Youth Day, 2022 themed-“Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a world for all Ages.” Let's earmark the commencement of an era that reckons an inclusive workforce, which is a cardinal for accelerated growth and building a sustainable tomorrow.

To achieve intergenerational solidarity, reforms in the education system and the adoption of progressive global policies are critical. This will help in diminishing the demarcations between two extremes of demography i.e. – Adult and Youth by bringing together the best of both worlds in the economic ecosystem.? As I have always believed in “work stability should not seed in the growth stagnancy”, henceforth it is all the more requisite to adopt new-age leadership styles. It is imperative for industry titans to share their leadership skills with the youth for more balanced and holistic development.???

In this competitive world, versatility in talent is an absolute need to bridge the widening skill gap. Therefore a constant learning approach with upskilling and re-skilling will help the inter-generational populace to practice mindful growth. With an agile mindset, youth empowerment and harnessing the wisdom of industry doyens will foster a conducive growth environment.

With new innovative developments sprouting from each corner of the world, versatility in the work sphere is the need of the hour. India is the fastest growing economy in the world as it comprises more than 66% of the working populace below the age of 35 years. This is a strong indicator of the eminent role played by the youth in materializing the dream of India@100. Our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi states that India has entered a golden era known as - ‘Amritkall’ to embark on its journey to become the global superpower. In order to become a $5 trillion economy, India needs to be the ‘Skill’ capital of the world and a global manufacturing hub that will make India truly ‘Atmanirbhar’. Therefore, let's motivate and encourage them to be able to edify towards nation-building.?
