Celebrating a Year of Achievements: 21dB’s Journey in 2024

As we wrapped up another incredible year at 21dB, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the milestones, challenges, and victories that shaped our journey in 2024. It’s been a year of pushing boundaries, refining our craft, and delivering outstanding work for our clients. So, let’s take a look back at what made this year special.

Key Milestones

This year was packed with significant moments for 21dB. We expanded our team, strengthening our expertise and capabilities. We also secured key partnerships that allowed us to explore new creative and technological frontiers, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve.

Another major highlight was securing full ownership of 21dB Dubai and the purchase of our office space in Business Bay.

Project Highlights

Some projects truly stood out this year. One of our most exciting ventures was Reunion Dubai by Factory People, where we crafted a pristine acoustics environment and designed a truly exceptional sound system, delivering the utmost audio clarity to Dubai club goers.

Additionally, we tackled the highly complex project of creating an outdoor cinema with an intimate acoustics setting, Cinema Akil at 25hours hotel, proving once again that our team thrives when faced with bold challenges. Whether it was pioneering a new technique or executing a complex strategy, these projects exemplified our ability to innovate and deliver exceptional results.

Lastly, our intervention in the Yard at Al Serkal avenue, a project by architect Tessa Sakhi, was to create a permanent multi-channel auditory experience using a sound system that totally blends in with its surroundings.

Client Successes

At the core of 21dB is our dedication to our clients, and their successes are our greatest achievements. This year, we had the privilege of working with incredible partners to bring their visions to life.?

From helping Metropolis Cinema Beirut bring back its screens from the ashes, to ensuring the sound of Sayf Dubai can stay within the confines of the outdoor venue. From sponsoring the rise of Stereo Kawalis in Tripoli by offering them a full acoustics and audio study for the venue to elevating the acoustics and sonic environment of Tint Lobby Beirut. It is each and every one of these success stories that keep reminding us why we love what we do.

Innovation & Growth

We’ve never been ones to shy away from risks, and this year was no exception. In late 2023, we embarked on a new exciting project designing loudspeakers. Fifteen months on and we now have our first collection of speakers and subwoofers to be tested in projects over the coming year.?

We did not just create another box, nor did we think outside or inside the box. We simply threw the box out of the window and fashioned a whole new geometry based on the following principle: “Loudspeakers must not exhibit any internal resonances so that sound can come out instead of die trying to vibrate the cabinet.”

Our brand is called booq, which is arabic for horn.?
