Celebrating Women in STEM!

Holy Cross School in St. Boniface, Manitoba is hosting the event to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science celebrated annually on February 11th. This day, established by the United Nations, aims to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the day, and the theme is "Unpacking STEM Careers: Her Voice in Science". The goal is to highlight the significant contributions of women and girls in these fields and to encourage more girls and women to pursue careers in STEM.

It's a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women scientists and to inspire future generations to follow in their footsteps. ??

The Holy Cross School event aims to inspire young girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by showcasing successful women in these fields and providing hands-on activities and workshops.

It's a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about the diverse career paths available in STEM and to meet role models who can share their experiences and insights. ??
