Celebrating Women at Huber
This month, we are proud to spotlight some of the amazing women at Huber Engineered Materials around the world. Read about their jobs, why they like working at Huber and what role the unique Huber culture plays for them.
?
Huber′s culture is defined by four core values—the Huber Principles: Respect for People, Safety & Sustainability, Excellence and Ethical Behavior. Today, we are celebrating three colleagues, who have shared their thoughts around “Respect for People.”
?
Vicky Kimberley, Utility Operator
Huber Specialty Minerals — Quincy, Illinois, US
Vicky is a utility operator at the Huber Specialty Minerals plant in Quincy, Illinois. The site mills ground calcium carbonate for use in industrial applications and consumer goods. Vicky′s job includes packing 50-pound bags either in heat seal or valve bags. As Quincy is a small plant, they do not yet use an automated packaging system with palletizers or robots – but Kimberley does not shy away from the physical work.?
?
“What I like the most about working at Huber is the great pay and benefits they offer. Also, my day schedule and working hours give me time for my kids and home life,” she says.?
?
Respect for People is “an important moral I live by at work and in my daily life,” she says, adding her motto “treat others how you'd want to be treated.”
