Celebrating Women in Construction: Stories of Inspiration from VACC Technical Limited

In honor of International Women's Day 2024, VACC Technical Ltd. is proud to highlight the outstanding achievements of two remarkable women who are breaking barriers and shaping the future of the construction industry: Tolu Charles-Ekundayo and Agbede Folashade Ebunolowa.

Tolu Charles-Ekundayo, our HR amp; Admin Director:

Tolu's journey with VACC began 16 years ago, and over time, she has risen to become a leader, steering the people strategy for the company across seven countries. In an industry often dominated by men, Tolu stands tall as one of the few women at the top.?

Driven by a mission to cultivate an inclusive environment, Tolu has championed the growth and empowerment of women not only within her team, but also across the construction and building services industry. Throughout her tenure, she has witnessed the transformation of a predominantly female HR & Admin team from entry-level roles to supervisory and managerial positions. This is a testament to her dedication to creating opportunities for women to thrive and succeed.

Tolu's commitment to education and empowerment extends beyond her role at VACC. Armed with a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and specialized professional trainings, she believes in shattering barriers and paving the way for a more inclusive future in the industry. On this International Women's Day, Tolu pays tribute to the achievements of women globally and calls for increased efforts towards achieving equity and inclusion.

Agbede Folashade Ebunolowa, our Contracts Manager:

Agbede, as she is fondly known, boasts a remarkable career spanning over 33 years. Recognized as a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Agbede's expertise is highly respected in the industry. Her dedication to continuous learning through conferences and workshops further strengthens her knowledge and skills.

Agbede's experience is vast, having held prominent positions like Commercial Manager at Costain West Africa Plc for 21 years. Currently, she is the Contracts Manager at VACC Technical, a role she has held with excellence for the past decade. Known for her strong work ethic, precision, and results-oriented approach, Agbedeis an invaluable asset to our team.

As we celebrate International Women's Day, Agbede commends other women across the world for their resilience and dedication to serving their communities and chosen fields.
