Celebrating Wellbeing: A Meaningful Day in the Bay Area

A Day of Connection, Wisdom, and Wellbeing in San Jose

Another unforgettable day with the Community of Wellbeing in San Jose! The energy, conversations, food, and music made it a truly enriching experience. From deep discussions on wellbeing to moments of connection and inspiration, every interaction reinforced the power of collective wisdom—spanning generations, from age 8 to 85.

  • To be healthy, we shared one habit we could adopt to improve our well-being. Learn more on this Personal Wellbeing initiative via a 12-Week AHA Program : (Amazing Habit Adaptation).
  • To be happy, we explored the importance of shifting internal mental models—empowering ourselves by taking responsibility, ending the cycle of blame, and accepting others as they are, like a rose with thorns, while focusing on their fragrance.
  • To be humane, we reflected on the power of forgiveness, including forgiving ourselves. This, in turn, nurtures self-love and a love for all beings.

You can also engage your teenage children in creating "Success with Wellbeing". To succeed, we reflected on the importance of a holistic view of what “Success with Wellbeing” means. Thanks, Neil Dandavati, the founder of an EdTech and Coaching company and award-winning high school teacher, for sharing your insights on how parents can encourage teens to see wellbeing as part of success, not something to be sacrificed in the name of success. But how do both parents and their kids make that mental shift, especially when aiming for big goals like selective colleges and a fulfilling career? That’s where design thinking comes into the picture. With this approach, teens learn to see their lives holistically and integrate the discovery of Wellbeing and purpose into their path. Learn how teens can thrive in this video.

Community building is never complete without the warmth of shared meals and the joy of music. Gathering around delicious food fosters connection, breaking barriers and creating a sense of belonging. Music, with its universal language, brings hearts together, igniting emotions and strengthening bonds. Whether it’s a simple home-cooked meal or a lively jam session, these shared experiences weave the fabric of a thriving community, where every voice is heard, and every soul feels at home.

Our next gathering is for March 23, 2025 so mark the calendar and call us to make a reservation. Seats are limited.

Grateful for the incredible people who continue to shape this journey, and looking forward to what’s ahead! Thanks to my co host Neil Dandavati , and co organizer Yash Talreja , Shree Garg, Vivek Chawla , Shanti Gopisetty , Mary Edmunds, Kim Silverman , Mimi, Martha, Komal Rajani , Anandi Sujeer , Ranjita Godhani , Kiaan Godhani,Saroj Mukherjee, Subrato Mukherjee , Nikita Mukherjee and Rutesh Shah
