From September 8 to September 17, 2023, Canada is abuzz with excitement as it observes WelcomingWeek2023. This annual event is organized by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to offer a unique opportunity to extend a warm welcome to newcomers .
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) continues to be a beacon for aspiring immigrants, and on September 7, 2023, it conducted another successful invitation round under its Expression of Interest (EOI) system . This draw, known as Expression of Interest Draw #193, encompassed all three MPNP streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker Overseas. A total of 558 candidates were fortunate to receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs), with eligibility criteria varying based on their respective streams.
With the recent introduction of category-based Express Entry draws, the Canadian immigration system has undergone significant changes. Now, candidates are being selected for Canadian permanent residence based on their professional experience rather than just their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This shift has opened up new immigration possibilities for many individuals who may not have previously qualified under the traditional CRS criteria.
