Celebrating Two Years of a Successful Serval Relocation: A Testament to Collaboration
As we mark another Endangered Animals Day, it's a perfect moment to reflect on the successes that exemplify effective collaboration. Two years ago, Panthera Africa, in partnership with Natuurhulpcentrum, the Born Free Foundation, Etihad Cargo, and Dr. Peter Caldwell from Old Chapel Veterinary Clinic, embarked on a mission to provide a new home for four illegally kept pet servals.
?
This journey was not just a relocation; it was a significant logistical undertaking influenced by the global pandemic, showcasing resilience and the shared commitment of multiple organizations across continents.
?
From securing travel arrangements with Etihad Cargo thanks to a former volunteer’s initiative, to navigating the complexities of animal welfare with expert guidance from Dr. Peter Caldwell from Old Chapel Veterinary, each step of this project highlights the importance of partnerships in the field of animal rescue.
?
As we celebrate the thriving lives of Mahaba, Kamogelo, Lekanya, and Balozi at their sanctuary, let us also acknowledge and appreciate the collective efforts that continue to make such stories possible.
