Celebrating the Two-Year Anniversary of The eLearning Designer's Handbook 2nd Edition
The eLearning Designer's Academy
The all-in-one community for new instructional designers and eLearning developers.
This past Friday,?Tim Slade shared?that it was the two-year anniversary of the second edition of The eLearning Designer's Handbook.
If you've ever written (or attempted to write) a book before, then you know it's one of the hardest things you'll ever do. Writing The eLearning Designer's Handbook was something that was bouncing around in Tim's head as far back as 2014! But it wasn't until 2016 when he finally started typing words... and then 2018 when he finally clicked the 'Publish' button and sold the first copy.
Over the years, we've had the great honor of seeing the book translated into multiple languages and used as a textbook for various university instructional design programs, from 美国亚利桑那州立大学 to 美国普渡大学 . It's surreal to think that university students are reading and learning from the experiences and knowledge shared in this book!
Nothing makes our day better than when we see folks share pictures of their well-used and worn copies, or when we receive a private message about how much it has helped them with their own careers!
So first off, if you're one of the many folks out there who has picked up your own copy of it... thank you! ????
?? If you have a copy of The eLearning Designer's Handbook, share a photo of your well-used, marked-up, sticky-noted copy in the comments below!

2 年Much dork, very excite! When Tim Slade filmed me for The eLearning Designer's Academy student stories in Nashville last year, I brought along my copy of the book for his autograph. Photographer creds to Cara North. Hot as Hell food creds to Hattie B's Hot Chicken. Image description: Tim and Bela sitting next to each other at Hattie B's in Nashville. Bela is holding Tim's book with a super dorky grin on her face.
