Celebrating success: J Marr’s charity run for Special Stars Foundation

The J Marr team successfully completed the Hull 10K on Sunday 9th June to raise funds for Special Stars Foundation , a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with significant learning and physical disabilities and their families across Hull and East Yorkshire.

We are filled with immense pride for our team’s outstanding performance and feel grateful for the incredible support we received. This event was not just about the run; it was about coming together for a cause close to our hearts.

Our team members, Ryan, Reiss, Emma, Kim, Kim and Debi took part, with their highlights including …

• Ryan and Reiss started at the forefront, with Ryan eventually joining the lead runners.
• Emma, Kim, and Kim began their journey together, with Kim and Kim reuniting at the 7k mark to finish strong.
• Debi, despite a brief detour to retrieve her hat, completed the race in impressive time, supported by a friend who was also running.

The crowd’s energy was contagious, driving us forward and lifting our spirits. It was a proud moment to see Kim and Kim featured in Hull Live and on the JT Run For All page!

We set out with a fundraising target of ￡1,000, but thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, we have surpassed this goal, raising a remarkable ￡1,217. These funds will significantly aid the Special Stars Foundation in their mission to support individuals with disabilities and their families.

The success of this event has inspired us to continue our commitment to charitable causes and community support. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference and are motivated to keep pushing forward.
