From transformative community efforts to innovative projects and our dedication to inclusivity and diversity, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together.
Take a look back with us, and let’s get inspired for the incredible moments, milestones, and memories to come!
Spotlighting Our Tenant Improvement Projects
At Acres, we pride ourselves on delivering quality work across a wide range of projects, and our tenant improvement projects are no exception. From office renovations to full building transformations, our team brings a high level of expertise and attention to detail.
A recent office transformation where the client was after a modern, collaborative and welcoming workspace speaks to our team's abilities to enhance any space. Whether it’s improving functionality or creating aesthetically inspiring spaces, our General Contracting team works collaboratively to turn ideas into reality.
Another highlight project includes renovations to the Kamloops Large Animal Vet Clinic.
The tenant improvements for the 7,000 sq. ft. building involved a full renovation, transforming both the interior and exterior. This included upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems, new framing, and the addition of two specialized equine treatment rooms.

Reflecting on 2024: Milestones, Moments & Memories
As we continue to settle into the new year, we reflect on the incredible journey that was 2024. It was a year defined not just by the structures we built, but by the impact we made together.
Our Milestones, Moments & Milestones recap video celebrates the achievements reached, the transformative projects we completed, and the memories that inspired us along the way. From meaningful community support to fostering the next generation of tradespeople, this recap highlights the heart of Acres Enterprises: a team that loves what we do and who we do it with.
Underground Mining: Going Deeper with Acres' Industrial Team
Our Industrial team continues to break new ground - quite literally - with underground mining projects. These projects showcase our team's diverse skills and commitment to excellence, blending engineering expertise, safety, and cutting-edge technology. Our team has had the opportunity to work on several projects within the mining industry contributing to its overall growth and success.
Currently, our team is engaged in the C-Zone Dewatering Installation Project at New Gold’s New Afton Mine, located just 10 km from Kamloops, BC. This major project, which began in the spring of 2024 and slated for a winter 2025 completion, is a crucial infrastructure development to support the expansion of New Afton’s mining operations. Building a Stronger Future: Embracing Diversity and Inclusion
At Acres, we believe that diversity makes us stronger, and fostering a culture of inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. Our commitment to Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion drives the way we approach hiring, team collaboration, and community involvement.
We actively create opportunities for employees of all backgrounds to thrive, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and valued. Whether it’s through mentorship programs or internal initiatives, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where all team members are empowered to grow and succeed.
Recently, our team had the pleasure of hosting and presenting to a group of students from Thompson Rivers University's Education and Skills Training (ESTR) program for a Community Workday.
The ESTR program helps students with diverse abilities gain the skills and experience they need to succeed in the workforce. As part of their training, the students get to explore different jobs through hands-on community workdays. It was wonderful to have them on site, giving them a glimpse of the world of construction.

GETT Inspired: Acres Gets Behind Another Successful Girls Exploring Trades and Technology Event
As part of our commitment to fostering a diverse workforce, we are proud to champion the importance of girls in trades.
Through partnerships, educational programs, and mentorship, we actively encourage young women to pursue careers in the trades. By creating pathways for girls to explore these careers, we hope to break down barriers and inspire confidence in the next generation tradespeople and industry leaders.
Twice a year, Acres gets the opportunity to partake in School District #73 (Kamloops/Thompson)'s Girls Exploring Trades and Technology (GETT) events. This inspiring one-day event takes place at Thompson Rivers University and offers female students a chance to build confidence through hands-on experiences in a variety of trades, all within a supportive and welcoming environment.
Students explore different trades, discover career paths, and learn how to pursue them. They also hear directly from female leaders in trades, gaining insight into their personal journeys and the many possibilities ahead. Acres' very own HR Advisor, Casey Cameron shared her experiences and insights with students as part of the event's speaker's panel.

Acres Brings the Holiday Spirit to Life: From New York Adventures in Downtown Kamloops to Supporting the Teddy Bear Toss Tradition
What better way to wrap up the year than by coming together to celebrate the holiday season and spread some festive cheer? In November, Acres participated in the Kamloops Santa Claus Parade, in which our team brought Home Alone 2: Lost in New York to life.
From Harry covered in feathers to Marv’s iron-face mishap, we had a cast of legends, including a real Statue of Liberty, a bird-covered Pigeon Lady, and the one and only Kevin McCallister.
With some creative magic, and a ridiculously talented crew, our team built an impressive Empire State Building and lit up the Rockefeller Tree.
From concept to completion, the whole team got involved, working together to create a magical moment for the community. It’s just another example of how we balance hard work with having fun, making an impact both on and off the job site.
The holiday cheer didn't stop with the annual Santa Claus Parade. Acres fully stocked up for the Kamloops Blazers Annual Teddy Bear Toss Game on December 6th.
Acres is always pleased to participate in this heartwarming tradition that sees all the bears tossed on the ice donated to Royal Inland Hospital Foundation , local charities, and non-profit groups.
