Celebrating Pride Month

To reach our true potential as an organization we must recognize the power of our authentic selves. The more backgrounds, experiences and perspectives we draw from, the more well-rounded and enriched we are as human beings, and the more boundaries we can push in the work we do. Real change happens when we embrace authenticity and enable others to bring their true selves.

 Pride month is an opportunity to reinforce our commitment to real and authentic workplace cultures that invite everyone, not just a few. This month, we celebrate one another by recognizing the strength of the LGBTQ+ community and empower everyone around the world to be their true self. Creating positive spaces for everyone to feel welcome begins with a culture of belonging and intentional action.

I’m thrilled to share that at TransUnion, our Employee Resource Group Pride @TU will be hosting a variety of events internally to celebrate and recognize this month. We’ll also be welcoming Jamison Green, an author and transgender rights pioneer who is a member of the Board of Directors for the Word Professional Association for Transgender Health.

 It’s imperative to create a respectful environment in order to achieve real momentum. I’m thrilled at all the progress we’ve made and look forward to furthering our commitment in creating a truly equitable environment for all. TransUnion was also proud to be recognized as a ‘Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality’ by scoring a perfect 100 for the third year in a row on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index.
