Celebrating People: Ken McInerney
General Dynamics Mission Systems
We develop mission critical solutions for those that lead, serve and protect the world we live in.
Last fall, Kenneth McInerney took on the director of engineering (DoE) role for Maritime and Strategic Systems (M&SS) line of business (LOB).
Ken has spent the last 33 years at GD Mission Systems. He said that it was a combination of his experience in engineering, business capture and program management that positioned him for his current role as DoE.
“I get to lead an awesome team of engineers who make our nation a safer place to enjoy our freedoms," Ken explained.

About M&SS Engineering
Engineers in the M&SS LOB support both long-term and short-term mission capability and flexibility on submarines, surface ships, and land-based and airborne-open architecture platforms.
"We have undersea to ballistic space covered," Ken said. “Our organization prides itself on a 'Sleep tight. We've got this!' mentality when it comes to our national defense protection."
