Celebrating PartnerTalks' 250th Episode

PartnerTalks is celebrating its 250th episode (which you can find here).

We use that word - celebrating - because we created each of our videos, articles, panel discussions, in-person events and masterclasses with that intent. We have always striven to celebrate our community and, through that celebration, to strengthen the ecosystem in which we all work and, indeed, live.

It feels appropriate, then, that for our 250th episode, we speak with somebody who shares our values. And Amy Homan, the volunteer president and treasurer of Directions North America, lives and breathes them.

Directions North America is known for its exceptional events fostering Partner-to-Partner networking and engagement. Its volunteer board is "accountable, primarily, to the community," Amy says. With no shareholders influencing board direction, she explains that her team makes their decisions by asking themselves, "Is this something the community wants to hear from us? Would they like to engage in these activities?"

Upcoming Event in Las Vegas

This year's event will be held at the Virgin Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, offering a spacious and glamorous venue for keynotes and sessions. With over 70 sponsors and a goal of 1,500 attendees, the event promises to be a significant gathering for the Microsoft Dynamics and Business Central community.

Special Tracks for Owners and Executives

One of Directions North America's highlights is the dedicated track for owners and executives. We've seen the value in this track in previous years when it provided a platform for VAR owners to share their experiences and insights. Amy tells us that plans are also underway to introduce a similar track for ISV owners in the future, which we're excited to see.

Microsoft's Support and Involvement

While she and her team work hard planning the conference, Amy acknowledges Microsoft's crucial role in supporting Directions North America. With over 50 Microsoft speakers on the itinerary and a strong event presence, Microsoft contributes significantly to the conference's success. It's nice to see that the relationship remains strong since the collaboration between Microsoft and the Directions community helps drive innovation and growth within the ecosystem.
