The growth and acceleration of women in technology-driven positions is a stimulating one because traditionally, it was uncommon practice for women to hold any interest in the tech space, let alone be working in the industry. Today however, we are seeing an explosion of potential and opportunity for women in technology-driven positions, which is an exciting chapter to be a part of as the industry has ultimately started to move away from the binary man-woman dynamic.

At ASBIS, we’re thinking about inclusion in a much bigger way. As an example, the stereotypical pinks and blues are not part of our strategy - Giving the consumer options is key here, so your products should assort a variety of styles and colours to allow for personalization rather than being gender-specific.

While we may be a bit biased at times when it comes to our dedicated team, we would not be able to delve into anything to do with pioneers of today without making mention of our General Manager, Elsie Woods -?A superstar in her own right. Elsie has been a true driving force behind the growth and evolution of Asbis Africa. Going forward, Asbis will be digging deeper into Smart Technology as we believe that not only are consumer electronics a vital element in everyday life, but smart home trends are also no longer reserved for High-Tech homes.

With Elsie’s help, we have become used to fast-paced innovation and strive to continue to expect better, to always be better and to have more effective technology available to our passionate customers. At the end of the day, devices has become an important part of our daily life - We live in a generation that uses electronics, technologies and artificial intelligence that is capable of doing human work with ease and efficiency.?
