Celebrating Our First Team Member and Donor: The Amazing Linaya Hahn

Today, I am filled with gratitude as I have the honor of introducing the first member and donor to Team Dakin Capital for the Denver Over the Edge 2023 Challenge - the incredible Linaya Hahn.

This Challenge involves rappelling down a building in Denver's McGregor Square to raise funds for the Cancer League of Colorado in its mission to fund cancer research and local cancer support organizations.

Linaya's action, making the inaugural donation to Team Dakin Capital, isn’t just about the money. Sure, its easy to imagine people paying for me to jump off the edge of a building, but that’s not the point.

Statistically, 5.5% of people within the United States contract cancer – about 1 in 20. However, we all know someone who has contracted cancer and it seems that the number is so much greater. They may be our family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers. And their cancer impacts you and almost everyone we know. So, what can we do to help? How can we make a difference?

In Linaya, we see the answer. We can step up. We can contribute. We can join the fight against cancer, just as she has. Her generosity is a testament to the immense impact each one of us can make.
