At WEtech Alliance, we are entrusted with a crucial responsibility: to take public funds and private sector support and transform them into something far more valuable. We don’t just manage resources—we perform alchemy, turning every dollar into innovation, job creation, and community growth. With the help of our partners, including Libro Credit Union , University of Windsor , and St. Clair College , we work tirelessly to maximize every investment we receive, ensuring it generates a meaningful and lasting impact. The numbers in our 2023-2024 Annual Client Impact Report are not just data points; they are proof of how we’ve turned limited resources into extraordinary results.
Helping Entrepreneurs & Companies: Driving Innovation and Economic Growth
Innovative entrepreneurs are the backbone of our economy, creating jobs, and developing solutions to the challenges we face as a society. Over the past year, WEtech Alliance has had the privilege of working with 178 unique clients, providing them with the mentorship, resources, and connections needed to accelerate their ideas. Through the dedication of 27 business advisors and growth coaches from across the globe, we delivered an astounding 2,038 hours of business advisory support.
These efforts have tangible outcomes: 30 new products and services were brought to market, helping to diversify and strengthen our regional economy. The startups and companies we support raised more than $11.6 million in funding and collectively generated over $206 million in annual revenue. This is a powerful demonstration of how much value can be created when entrepreneurs are given the right tools to succeed.
But it’s not just about revenue. Every new product or service launched is a solution to a problem, a step forward in Canadian innovation, and a contribution to our community. We also held 32 entrepreneurial training sessions with 679 registered attendees, helping founders sharpen their skills, refine their business models, and better understand how to scale their operations.
Connecting Talent: The Engine of Startup Success
While innovation drives economic growth, talent is the fuel that powers it. Recognizing this, WEtech Alliance has made connecting entrepreneurs with top talent a core part of our mission. Over the past year, we hosted 22 events aimed at connecting talent with high-growth companies and fostering skills development. These events attracted 1,211 attendees eager to connect with companies, learn new skills, and find opportunities within our region.
Our Tech Jobs Board consistently featured an average of 63 regional tech job postings at once, helping local talent find opportunities to contribute to the innovation ecosystem. By connecting companies with skilled workers, we are not only supporting business growth but also retaining talent in our region—a crucial factor in sustaining long-term economic success.
Building Community: Collaboration as a Catalyst for Growth
At WEtech, we understand that innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It requires a strong, interconnected community where ideas and opportunities flow freely. This year, we hosted nine community-building events that drew 921 registered attendees. These gatherings foster collaboration, create networking opportunities, and lay the foundation for partnerships that can drive future growth.

Why This Matters: Alchemy in Action
What drives us at WEtech is not just the results, but the profound impact those results have on the region. Innovative entrepreneurs are crucial in addressing society’s most pressing challenges. By helping companies accelerate to pivot or persevere, connecting talent, and building a collaborative community, we are creating something far more valuable than the sum of its parts. We are turning dollars into opportunities, into solutions, and into a stronger, more resilient economy.
But this alchemy wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support of our partners. Organizations like Libro Credit Union, the University of Windsor, and St. Clair College play an integral role in extending the impact of public funds. Their commitment, along with the trust placed in us by our funders, allows us to deliver value far beyond what’s expected. Together, we are shaping the future of entrepreneurship in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent, ensuring that every dollar entrusted to us is transformed into meaningful, long-term impact.
As we look ahead, the challenges will no doubt continue to evolve, but so too will our approach. We remain committed to creating more value, driving more innovation, and building a stronger community with every step we take. Here’s to another year of turning possibilities into realities, and every dollar into lasting change.
