What was your favorite thing about MikeWorldWide this summer? My favorite thing about MikeWorldWide this summer is that we all get to see firsthand how digital marketing and public relations work together, especially with new platforms and changes in current ones happening. The learning experience, along with meeting new people, is excellent.
What is one prediction you have about digital media as we head into the second half of the year? Digital media will keep evolving, and the competition between platforms will continue. We saw the development of Threads, and now Twitter rebranded itself as “X,” so this trend will continue, AI will be something to watch, and regulations will be on the table for them.

What was your favorite thing about MikeWorldWide this summer? Working on the group project and building lasting friendships along the way.
What is one prediction you have about digital media as we head into the second half of the year? I predict that social media platforms will evolve to fit the consumer's desire for authenticity. The popularity of Tiktok and the emergence of Meta's Threads as a Twitter rival displayed users' dissatisfaction with platform limitations and opened up the possibility of converting users who are increasingly discontent with the performative nature of social media to platforms that facilitate more honest, less polished discourse.

What is one prediction you have about digital media as we head into the second half of the year? As we enter into the second half of 2023, I believe we will see a rise in the consumers controlling the narrative. The controversial changes with Twitter and consumer commentary on issues around algorithms are two of the biggest pieces of evidence that show us that social users care about the way social platforms run their business and their opinions will have a greater share of voice in future decisions.

What is one prediction you have about digital media as we head into the second half of the year? I think that as we head into the second half of the year, digital media is going to shift towards a less is more approach. I think people are going to become overwhelmed with the plethora of new social media platforms and opt to stay with what they know instead of joining a bunch of new platforms.
