Celebrating One Year of Team UP

Celebrating One Year of Team UP

Last summer, we celebrated the launch of?Team UP, our company’s reimagined volunteerism and employee engagement program. As I look back on the past year, I am inspired by our collective commitment to create long-lasting change in our communities.

Aligned with Project UP, our comprehensive initiative to advance digital equity, Team UP is the latest chapter in our long history of service and local engagement. The name Team UP represents how our reach is maximized when we come together to make a difference. This past year alone, we’ve impacted thousands of individuals by volunteering time and talent, donating to humanitarian causes, and training to become nonprofit board members.

One Year of Team UP by the Numbers:

Team UP is fueled by our passionate colleagues who are dedicated to supporting the communities where they live and work. Employee Resource Group (ERG) leaders and members spearheaded many of our events, working in tandem with our Community Impact champions and teams. Through virtual, in-person, and hybrid opportunities, we all came together for causes close to our hearts in collaboration with local hubs driving positive impact including digital skills training sites, veteran-focused nonprofits, senior centers, and more. We are proud to partner with thousands of remarkable organizations nationwide that are helping more people access the internet, providing food and shelter during times of transition or crisis, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.

The compassion, leadership, and time it takes to make this year-round program come to life does not go unnoticed. I am deeply grateful to be surrounded by team members at all levels of the company who have helped to support our local communities through Team UP. I look forward to the years ahead and the unlimited possibilities we will continue to create together in our neighborhoods and across the country.

Congratulations on the first anniversary of Team UP, Dalila Wilson-Scott! This is an incredible initiative that clearly demonstrates ComcastvNBCUniversal's commitment to positive change and community engagement. At UNICORN A TOP Product, we too value the power of collective action, especially in our mission to end period poverty. Your efforts, particularly around digital equity, echo our own belief in the necessity of access and inclusion for all. I am inspired by the results you've achieved in just one year and look forward to witnessing how Team UP continues to impact communities in the future. Is there a possibility for us to explore potential collaboration areas where our missions intersect? I believe together, we can make even more significant strides toward inclusivity and equity. If you agree, please connect and let's have a conversation! #RightSideOfHistory #EndPeriodPoverty
