Celebrating One Year of Safer Together in Kenya ??

As we mark the first anniversary of Phase 2 of the #SaferTogether program in Kenya, we reflect on the incredible strides made in advancing online safety and digital well-being. Through our collaboration with TikTok, we have reached an impressive 210,994 individuals, including children, young adults, and parents, equipping them with essential skills for safe and responsible digital navigation.

Key Achievements:

• An impactful reach of 210,994 individuals across Kenya
• Presence and active training in 27/47 counties in Kenya through partnerships with the KENYA SCOUTS ASSOCIATION and Riara University .
• Trained over 60 Trainers of Trainers (ToTs), who continue championing digital well-being nationwide
• A strengthened framework from Phase 1, ensuring sustainable #onlinesafety and digital wellbeing education

The #SaferTogether, a global initiative, highlights TikTok 's dedication to fostering trust and safety, and we are honoured to be part of its implementation journey in Kenya. This initiative has introduced critical safety measures and resources, emphasising youth well-being and TikTok’s built-in safety tools, all to empower users to enjoy a responsible, safe and enriching digital experience.

Reflecting on the past years, our achievements and experiences are both humbling and inspiring. Yet, we recognize this is just the beginning.
