Celebrating one year with IMIG

We hear from Charlène Frutier Operations Director, IMIG.

What year it has been for , who has been at the forefront of the most instrumental changes here at IMIG as Operations Director.

But when asked what her most significant moment has been to date, she is quick to cite the moments of when the team come together, notably Alun Tribe , Owen Tribe - Fractional CTO and Simon Lucas . The team is like no other she has worked with “There is a deep level of respect for one another, and the dynamic between us great. It is a healthy successful environment, and we really value each other's input which really allows me to be creative.”

Having started her career in the manufacturing industry at 21 years old, Charlène says, “It's where I’m most comfortable, times are moving quickly now, and the industry is open to women leaders as we bring different values that are needed in this business, and I love being part of that.”

Talking frankly, Charlène said she started the role of Operations Director with a mix of excitement and apprehension. “Moving from jobs that had always been tactical and technical, into general management (which had always been a vision) was a new challenge. Because we are not a huge company, I get involved in so many aspects of managing the business from accounting, finance, legal, HR and strategy and innovation. Most of these topics are new to me but when I am unsure, I always come back to the question ‘what is the right thing to do here’ and that philosophy has not let me down. I’ve had to challenge myself to deliver results and be impactful quickly and I am really proud of what I have achieved so far.”

Most notable are her efforts in implementing a new induction programme, supporting the launch of a Joint Venture, and getting on top of every locations P&L as well as supporting customers with assessments and coaching.

Charlène is looking forward to seeing IMIG grow from strength to strength and recruiting more key contributors. “We’ve such an amazing team, there is no one here I don’t love working with. As part of my job, I visit the UK teams on their projects at customer sites on a regular basis, and seeing them in their environment is one of the things I love most about my job.”
