Not an ordinary day and time
At some point tonight (the day this post was written) will be 2/2/22 22:22(:22).
It will be a unique double-two figure combination, unrepeatable during this century. Surely someone will notice it and point it out as a "fun fact" to their entourage.
I feel like celebrating it, maybe even drinking some bubbly! Celebrating the oddity.
Every year we celebrate New Year's Eve and various other holidays. It's right because it's recurring, reassuring, and familiar. Just as it is right and reassuring that in societies we celebrate recognizable and measurable achievements.
But what if we also started to celebrate the improbable event, the unmeasurable gain, the capacity to see a learning perspective from a loss? All things that are perhaps, at first glance, not as positive or reassuring as a New Year's Eve (or a new contract or client), but which contribute to the overall economy of an advancing world and should be celebrated for the mere fact that they are there today for us and exist.
So... happy 2/2/22 22:22(:22).
