To commemorate National Volunteer Week and to celebrate York Region CAS’ volunteers, we would like to highlight and recognize one of York Region CAS’ long-serving volunteers, Jim Apostolos.

How long I’ve been volunteering:

16 years

Why I Volunteer:

I volunteer because I like driving and I enjoy getting to know the children & youth that I transport. ?I enjoy the good conversations and laughs we share, and I have a good rapport with many of the children/youth that I drive.

I take pride in getting everyone I drive to their destination on time.

My favorite hobby:

I like to play golf, and I like to watch most sports.

During National Volunteer Week 2024, we come together to recognize and celebrate the importance of volunteers like Jim and their positive impact for the wellbeing of the children, youth, and families in our community.
