Celebrating National Volunteer Week (April 14-20)
Reception House Waterloo Region
Serving refugees since 1987. Together, we create home.
Reception House Waterloo Region would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our volunteers who play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide a warm welcome to newcomers.
Our volunteers come from various backgrounds, each bringing unique skills and passions to our programs. Some assist with interpretation services, making communication easier for our newcomers. Others lead English conversation circles, helping refugees improve their language skills, while some volunteer with our art programs for kids, inspiring creativity and joy.
The contributions of our volunteers are immeasurable. You are the backbone of Reception House, and your support helps us create a welcoming community for refugees and newcomers. Your compassion, dedication, and enthusiasm inspire us all. Thank you for everything you do!
To celebrate National Volunteer Week, we created a series of videos highlighting the impact of our volunteers and their inspiring stories. You can watch these videos on our YouTube channel to learn more about the incredible work our volunteers do and hear their personal stories of giving back. Be sure to like, comment, and share to show your support!
