Celebrating National Volunteer Week - Volunteer Spotlight: Beulah Osei

To commemorate National Volunteer Week and to celebrate York Region CAS’ volunteers, we would like to highlight and recognize York Region CAS’ longest serving volunteer, Beulah Osei.

Position: Volunteer Driver

How long I’ve been volunteering: Over 20 years

Why I Volunteer:

? To give back to my community.

? I’m proud to be part of an Agency that protects Children and Youth within our Community and creates a positive timeline allowing Children, Youth, and Families to build trust; letting them know that we care for their well-being.

? To foster good relationships and always display humility when interacting with Children & Youth.

? It is quite inspirational when seeing a child’s smiling face; listening to the many stories or even playing the ‘I -Spy’ games; or sing-along in the car.

? Knowing at the end of the day that I’ve made a difference in a child’s life is a huge accomplishment.

My favorite hobby: Gardening; putting my culinary skills to the test and entertaining.
