?? Celebrating National Marine Week ??

This #NationalMarineWeek is a chance to celebrate the wonderful wildlife found in the seas around the UK, and our relationship with this habitat that surrounds us.

In our Biosphere area and around, we are lucky enough to have a #MarineProtectedArea, as well as the #SussexCoast, England's first designated Heritage Coast, by @National Trust and South Downs National Park Authority , known for its pristine natural beauty and rich marine life, including unique dolphins, seahorses, and expansive kelp forests. As part of The Living Coast UNESCO Biosphere, we're committed to preserving and educating about these invaluable natural resources.

??#HabitatProtection:

Have you come across the vegetated shingles at Blackrock? It's a hub of coastal biodiversity. The sustainable boardwalk, made from recycled materials, offers a gateway to this unique ecosystem, providing an immersive experience of the complex beauty of coastal life.

Let’s also celebrate the work of Sussex Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Authority thanks to the trawling ban byelaw, for the past 3 years our undersea habitats have been slowly but surely regenerating.

Cleaning our beaches also helps protecting wildlife: Check out the work of #LeaveNoTrace, a fantastic local community group who is empowering everyone to be the change and fight plastic waste: #LEAVENOTRACEBRIGHTON – Respect our place and leave no trace
