Celebrating National Dentist Day 2024
Every year, on March 6th, National Dentist's Day is observed. It was designed to convey appreciation and gratitude to dentists. It's also a means to raise awareness about dentistry so that people understand how to care for their teeth. It also encourages people who have avoided regular dental visits to come in for a checkup.
In addition to monitoring the development of teeth and jaws and performing oral surgery, dentists are responsible for preventing, detecting, and treating oral disorders. Since dental health is essential to our general well-being, we honor them today for keeping our bodies in optimal condition as well as for keeping our teeth looking beautiful.
Here are a few National Dentist Day activities you can do easily:
1.????? Brush your teeth.
2.????? Make a dental appointment.
3.????? Being a dentist can be a thankless job, so thank your dentist to let them know how much you appreciate their hard work.
Tip – Currently in Myanmar, there are around 5,000 dentists, 400 trained dental nurses, and 400 private dental clinics. However, the dentist to population ratio stands at approximately 1:16,000, with only about 1,000 dentists serving in government sectors. The dental healthcare disparity in Myanmar primarily arises from an uneven distribution of dentists between public and private sectors.
