Celebrating National Black Business Month: Recognizing the Vital Contributions of Black-Owned Businesses

August is National Black Business Month, a time dedicated to celebrating the achievements and contributions of Black entrepreneurs and business owners. We are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the clean energy sector and beyond, understanding the importance of supporting and uplifting Black- and Women-owned businesses, especially those that are leading the way in innovation and sustainability.

We’d like to take this opportunity to recognize one of our valued agency partners in the clean energy sector, a distinguished Woman- and Black-owned business: The L3 Agency and Larvetta L. Loftin . The L3 Agency (L3) is a full-service marketing and communications firm, dedicated to leveraging relationship-building, cultural sensitivity, diversity, and authenticity to grow businesses and develop long-lasting relationships.

With over 50 years of combined experience in marketing and public relations, L3 seamlessly leverages relationships and insights to help tell their clients’ stories—with clean energy clients becoming a large part of their portfolio. Recently, Equinox Creative 's Owner/CEO, Kelly Mulder , had the opportunity to hear from Founder and Owner of L3, Larvetta Loftin, during a video shoot for one of our mutual clean energy clients. Watch as Larvetta shares her excitement about the future of energy and L3's role in it in this video clip shot and produced by Keen Eye Media.

In addition to their Black Businesses Matter podcast, check out L3’s blog post from this past May: Supporting Black-Owned Brands Beyond Black History Month. I’ve provided some quick excerpts below, but I encourage you to read the full article and sign up to receive content from them.
