Over the months of March and April, we celebrated several incredible occasions, including ZALORA’s 12th Birthday, International Women’s Day, Iftar, and Earth Day with our Zalorians across Southeast Asia.?

ZALORA 12th Birthday Celebrations

ZALORA turns 12! As we reflect on the incredible journey we've embarked on together, we can't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible team and people we’ve had onboard with us on this journey together!

Across the region, each one of our local offices came alive with creativity and enthusiasm to celebrate our incredible milestone! Zalorians indulged in a delightful array of food, from popcorn, cotton candy, and cakes, to even sushi, satisfying every craving! Laughter filled the air as teams competed in homemade carnival games, like giant jenga stacking, office chair racing, and even balloon popping, with incredible prizes galore for the victorious!

ZALORA International Women’s Day

In ZALORA, we embraced the power of diversity and inclusion as we celebrated International Women's Day! This special day reminds us of the importance of recognizing and celebrating the unique contributions of women from all walks of life. From pioneering leaders to everyday heroes, women in ZALORA have been breaking barriers, shattering stereotypes, and inspiring positive change.

Our zHappiness Teams and P&C teams across the region teamed up to create special activities for this special occasion!

Iftar Festivities at ZALORA

Celebrating and breaking fast alongside our Muslim colleagues, our Zalorians were treated to a spread of delicious foods, including dates, bento boxes, and a dessert station. To learn more about the cultural importance of Ramadan, our Zalorians participated in a quiz game to test everyone's knowledge of Eid traditions, followed by a spirited best-dressed competition.

And since our previous karaoke session was such a hit, we decided to bring it back for another round, much to everyone's delight!?

ZALORA Celebrates Earth Day Regionwide

In an exclusive luncheon event which brought together select influencers, media representatives, and esteemed VIP customers, ZALORA hosted an engaging discourse on sustainable practices in the fashion industry.

To provide hands-on experience on upcycling, ZALORA collaborated with social enterprise, Kloth Circularity | Malaysia | Singapore , in hosting workshops to transform old t-shirts into trendy tote bags. This showcased the transformative power of upcycling and reinforcing the message of environmental stewardship.

To further encourage participants to continue practicing sustainability after the event, ZALORA re-introduced our Earth Edit category and the recently launched Snap and Drop clothes donation program which is now live in Malaysia and Singapore.

In Indonesia, to celebrate Earth Day 2024, ZALORA hosted "Drip & Drop" an event collaboration with House of Cuff and Clothes for Charity, in Jakarta. The purpose of the event was to inspire a broader audience to engage in sustainable fashion practices. Participants are invited to donate gently used clothing, and these donations will later be proceeded to support underprivileged children's education.

Even after this event, customers are still be able to join in and embrace a more sustainable approach to fashion by donating their pre-loved clothes to the nearest ZALORA x House of Cuff drop point, such as at Clothes for Charity Jakarta, Work Coffee Jakarta, Drips Coffee, Coffee Toffee, Sajiva Coffee & Ceramis, and other venues.

ZALORA Awarded 2023 Top Influential Brand Award

Influential Brands is a prestigious organisation that celebrates the best brands and champions of excellence in Asia. Based on consumer recognition and preference, as well as being the leading fashion ecommerce brand in Southeast Asia, ZALORA has been awarded the Top Influential Brand Award for 2023!

On behalf of ZALORA Group, our CEO, Gunjan Soni proudly accepted the award at the 2024 CEO Summit, Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony, held at The Fullerton Hotel in Singapore. In addition to over 200+ senior executives from around Asia, Singapore’s distinguished Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Kian Peng Seah g, renowned for his extensive expertise in retail and consumer goods, graced the occasion as the guest-of-honor, and presented ZALORA with the award plaque.

This award serves as a testament to the hard work and dedication of the ZALORA team, underscoring the recognition and trust from our customers as a leading E-Commerce Fashion Retailer in Asia.

Regional Volunteering Highlights

We are thrilled to share a heartwarming tale of compassion and community spirit from our very own ZALORA Malaysia volunteers!

On 28 March, a group of volunteers rolled up their sleeves and ventured into the world of wagging tails and purring companionship at PAWS Animal Welfare Society, a non-profit animal shelter in Petaling Jaya. With eager smiles and open hearts, our Zalorians spent their Nuzul Al-Quran holiday giving our new furry friends leisurely walks, refreshing showers and fun games.

As the day unfolded, bonds were forged not only between our team members but also with the animals they cared for. Whether it was comforting a timid kitten, or playing fetch with an energetic canine, our volunteers poured their love and attention into every interaction, leaving paw prints of joy on the hearts of both humans and animals alike.

We extend our deepest appreciation to each of our volunteers for their compassion, enthusiasm, and unwavering support. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and you've truly made a difference in the lives of these animals.

Thank you for embodying the spirit of giving back and for making this event a memorable success. We're immensely proud to have you as part of our Zalora family.

In a remarkable demonstration of teamwork and community spirit, 16 Zalorians in the Philippines, recently united as volunteers alongside other corporate volunteers, to sort and repack over 22,000 survival kits. These kits are meant to be distributed to communities all across the Philippines, a nation that experiences on average 20 typhoons and up to 150 earthquakes each year.

The initiative by Ayala Group, a major partner of ZALORA Group, gathered hundreds of volunteers at Ayala Malls Manila Bay over the course of multiple days to pack vital resources into ready-to-use packages. Check out the packing process here!
