Celebrating Mandela Day 2024

At Panthera Africa Big Cat Sanctuary, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. This Mandela Day, we had the profound honour of spending 67 minutes with the vibrant and enthusiastic learners at Zwelihle Primary School, a rural school close to our sanctuary. The day was dedicated to spreading messages of hope, respect, and kindness, all inspired by the legacy of Nelson Mandela.

Inspiring Young Minds

Our team shared captivating stories and fun facts about the incredible animals at our sanctuary, including lions, leopards, and caracals. The children, ranging from Grade 4 to Grade 7, were eager to learn and engage with the stories of our beloved big cats. We highlighted the importance of respect for all living beings—animals, nature, and each other.
