Celebrating to make Small Dreams turn into Big Realities!
Combat Blindness International
Dedicated to eliminating preventable blindness globally by providing sustainable, equitable solution since 1984.
A pair of different generations, 80-year-old Jatinder Cheema, and a bunch of 5 - 10-year-old children in Madison saw a novel way to have fun and celebrate!
For her big 80th birthday this year, Jatinder Cheema, Senior USAID Foreign Officer, raised $644 on her Facebook fundraiser and will be matching what she raised.
As she says, "I take my sight for granted and want to help a child see their loved ones for the first time, or see the chalkboard at school, or help with screening for those who can't afford it. I've chosen Combat Blindness International because its mission means a lot to me. I will match what I raise.”
Meet our Youngest Donors!
Children in our community organized a fundraiser for Combat Blindness International.
They used all their charm to sell refreshing lemonade and their stall was SOLD OUT!
Thank you, kids! Your efforts will help children get the basic eye care they need!
We will continue to bring stories of our donors, patients, our young Aadya screeners, and our partners who are helping millions in low-income regions to combat preventable blindness
If you wish to celebrate your special days helping people restore eyesight, encouraging young women to become financially independent, or assisting young children to get back to school, reach out to us at [email protected]
