Celebrating the Long Game

Celebrating the Long Game

I can't believe that it is already DAY 300.

300 days ago I drew a line in the sand and alerted my coach that it was time for a change. At first, she was surprised as we already working on a plan and I wanted to start a new one. Then, after a few thoughtful questions, just like that, she pivoted with me. I had already said the date out loud to one of my dearest girlfriends. October 1st, 2021 would be my jumping-off point. I would be ready to make a change, take a leap, and define my purpose. At that moment, the journey of discovery and reinvention began.?

Little did I know that the pandemic would give me the clarity and push I needed. I spent two furloughs talking to many people in difficult situations. They were contemplating their future and second-guessing their past. Why had they stayed so long? Why had they not said anything? Even when they had done everything right, it was natural to question "why me?" I was having daily discussions as people talked through career conversations, job searches, and lots of reflection. Unfortunatley hindsight is 20/20. It became clear that I could help others find their path to happiness and success through coaching and career strategies, just as?Meg Rentschler, MSW, PCC, had helped me.?

I started building a website, a social strategy, took photos, and put my plans in place, gaining more clarity day by day. I was lucky to be introduced to the great?Mina Brown,?signed up for an intensive 8-day class with a fantastic cohort, and here I am - on day 300.

I jumped early; 17 weeks ago, I left my corporate career. As of today, I have 299 days behind me and 65 ahead of me until I hit that one-year milestone.?

Every day since day 1, I have acknowledged how many days I have ahead of me and behind me. Every day I am thinking of helping others find their own definition of success in their journey. It has kept me focused.?

I left a job and team I loved to do something new where I can use my skills and many years in HR to pull back the curtains and helps others find their success and happiness. As a bonus, yesterday, The Network Concierge gained the 300th follower; that is just the beginning. I hope you too will follow.

The most exciting part, there are still 65 days until October 1st, 2021. Although it will not end that day, it will be a day to celebrate.?

Today, on day 300, if you are dreaming about your future, sign up for my weekly email, where I share the five key beliefs that propelled me into this adventure. Every week I will do my best to keep you inspired and focused on your career strategy.

Whether you are moving onward, upward, or both, you owe it to yourself to pursue your definition of happiness and invest in YOU. Preparing for your future is not something that happens over night, it takes vision and planning. If this past year has left you pondering your long game, set up a discovery call, and let's talk about your goals.
