Celebrating Irish-Australian Innovation

The Irish Australian Business Awards took place in Sydney this month, bringing together a kindred network of professionals from all sectors of industry.?

Hosted by the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce , the annual awards showcase the very best in innovation, entrepreneurship and business practice across the community.

Finalist in four categories?

Our Founder and CEO James Flanagan swapped his HoverIT T-shirt for a tuxedo to celebrate as a finalist in four categories: ‘Startup’, ‘Innovation’, ‘Young Entrepreneur’ and ‘People’s Choice’.

Whilst HoverIT didn’t scoop a prize on the night, we did come runner-up in the hotly contested ‘People’s Choice’ category and couldn’t be prouder.?

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took time to vote for us in the run up to the awards. The final result was close, and we congratulate our friends at iEnergi Australia on their success.

Established in the 1980s, the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce has a long track record of bringing like-minded people together to facilitate networking and business opportunities.

The highlight of the night was meeting fellow finalists and having the opportunity to chat in-depth about their business activities, projects and plans for the future. The level of innovation within the community is simply staggering and we’re delighted to be part of it.
