Celebrating International Movies at BFI London Film Festival 2023

At the British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival, taking place from 4th - 15th October, audiences can look forward to 252 film screenings and 14 world premieres in a celebration of the film industry in the UK and around the world. We at the MPA EMEA are delighted to see the festival kick off every year and see our members and other partners in the industry shine.

Highlights will include the first look at Kibwe Tavares and Daniel Kaluuya’s hotly anticipated dystopian thriller The Kitchen, which is set in London, along with Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, starring Barry Keoghan, Rosamund Pike and Carey Mulligan, and Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro, directed by Bradley Cooper.

It won’t just be the capital getting to enjoy the festival; screenings and galas will be taking place at cinemas across the UK. And neither will it only be films from Britain and Hollywood which are drawing in the crowds; London is known for being one of the most internationally minded of the major film festivals, featuring some of the best films of the moment from around the world. Top Hollywood directors like Greta Gerwig and Martin Scorsese have also ventured across the pond to address film fans in London.

The event shows the close links between London and the UK, and the major players of the Hollywood film industry. With a huge number and variety of films to enjoy, the BFI London Film Festival will be a star-studded showcase with something for everyone.
